Following the success of ZARA Nanjing Flagship store, AIM Architecture was invited by the Spanish visionary retailer to design Zara’s new flagship on one of the world’s most intense retail streets: East Nanjing Road.

嵌入街道肌理的建筑

該門店已于數(shù)周前正式啟用，不僅作為零售空間運(yùn)作，更成為一處城市界面，為街道引入嶄新的公共門戶。

Architecture for the Street

Open just few weeks ago, the store is already operating as more than a retail destination. It acts as an urban interface, a new public front for the street.

立面并未被視作單一的視覺形象，而是被定義為一種基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施。設(shè)計(jì)通過對(duì)既有建筑表皮的剝離，形成一個(gè)向城市深度敞開的臨街界面——城市、廣場(chǎng)與商業(yè)空間在此相互滲透，構(gòu)成一道多孔性的過渡邊界。立柱與通高空間共同界定出一處具有遮蔭效果的前庭廣場(chǎng)，成為人流不息的街道中片刻駐足的節(jié)點(diǎn)。在此，建筑主動(dòng)讓渡空間于城市；在跨入室內(nèi)之前，訪客已然參與到建筑所構(gòu)成的空間之中。

The facade is not conceived as an image, but as infrastructure. The existing envelope was stripped back to create a deep, open frontage: a porous threshold where city, plaza, and store overlap. Columns and double-height voids define a shaded forecourt, a moment of pause within the constant flow of pedestrians. Here, the building gives space back to the city. Before entering, visitors are already inside its architecture.

材料策略保持高度克制。富有質(zhì)感的混凝土、極簡(jiǎn)化的飾面處理與清晰的結(jié)構(gòu)邏輯，使光線、人流與日?；顒?dòng)在不同時(shí)段持續(xù)賦予立面以生命力。建筑并不試圖與街道的能量對(duì)抗，而是與之相容，將其吸納其中。

Material choices remain deliberately restrained. Textured concrete, minimized cladding, and structural clarity allow light, movement, and people to animate the facade throughout the day. The building does not compete with the street’s energy, it absorbs it.
